Pumpkin Patch

Lele will be turning 3 this week, So what a better way to celebrate then a dress up party at the pumpkin patch? The 90 degree weather made for a lovely trip...in the begining:) Kai wore her costume for about 3 1/2 minutes then off with the wings, out came the hair and after several tugs on the tutu I assisted in it's removal so it wouldnt get torn. Then off shwe was to climb giant pumpkins, jump hay barrels with "brother" and feed the animals. Lunch was AWESOME! carrott zuchini patties in pita bread with all sorts of yummy toppings and dressings. All of L's favorite snacks and cupcakes of course.

After lunch we took a tractor ride thru the pumpkin patch to pick out our beautys. By the time we returned from our tractor ride we had ALL stripped down as much as possible, and quickly realized that everyone had been in the heat enough for the day. Unfortunaly we were unable to make it back inside to take out group photos so we grabbed a couple quick shots in the parking lot before parting to out air conditioned cars.

on the dark side

I have spent the last 27 years as a blonde.
It has been part of my idenity.
Blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin.
"You know janeen, the blonde one?"
ALL the girls in my family are blonde.
"People pay money to dye their hair your color"
Did I mention it was part of my idenity?
so...

I just went for it! Egyptian plum, how cool of a name is that? It was a great feeling to just DO IT and not think so much its only hair right?it'll grow out, it can be cut, or dyed back. It looks cleaner and i never woulda known if i didnt try. I love it...i think...I strongly like it, yeah, strongly like.
